British Grasstrack Championships

Congratulations to our own Cameron Taylor on a fantastic second-place finish in the 350cc British Grasstrack Championships at the weekend.

Cameron produced a determined and mature performance throughout the meeting, showing both speed and consistency against a highly competitive field. After a difficult start in the final, he kept his composure and rode superbly, carving his way through the pack to secure a well-deserved podium finish and the title of British Championship runner-up.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the host club for organising and delivering a fantastic meeting. Events like these rely on the hard work and commitment of countless volunteers and officials, and their efforts are greatly appreciated.

Finally, congratulations to all the riders, teams, officials and support staff who played their part in making the championship such a memorable occasion. The standard of racing throughout the day was exceptional, and it was a great showcase for British grasstrack sport.

Well done, Cameron – a brilliant achievement, and one that everyone associated with R.T.S. Racing is immensely proud of.

Bielefeld European Challenge.

Congratulations to James Shanes on his outstanding victory at the Bielefeld European Challenge. This is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the hard work, dedication, and determination he has shown throughout the season. Everyone at RTS is incredibly proud of his success and would like to wish him all the very best as he continues his preparations for the European Final. We are confident that he will represent himself, his team, and the sport with distinction on the European stage.

It has also been a hugely successful weekend for RTS closer to home. Our own Cameron Taylor delivered an excellent performance in Cornwall, securing 1st place in impressive fashion. The result provides a real boost of confidence heading into one of the biggest events of the season, the 350 British Championships this weekend. Cameron has worked tirelessly to reach this point, and this victory is a fitting reward for the commitment and effort he has put in throughout the year.

The weekend’s results highlight the strength and depth of talent within the RTS family. Seeing riders achieve success at both national and international level is something everyone associated with RTS can take great pride in. These performances are the result of countless hours of preparation, support from families and sponsors, and the dedication shown by riders both on and off the track.

As attention now turns to the upcoming British Championships and the remainder of the racing season, RTS would like to extend its best wishes to all riders, teams, mechanics, officials, and supporters. We hope everyone enjoys a safe, competitive, and successful championship weekend and continues to achieve their goals throughout the rest of the season.

Good luck to everyone competing, and congratulations once again to James and Cameron on their fantastic achievements.

Heartfelt Thank You

Just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for all the kindness and support while I’ve been in hospital.

It’s meant more to me than I can properly put into words, and I feel incredibly grateful.

I’m really sorry I haven’t been able to reply to many of your messages. I’ve been dealing with double vision, which has made it difficult to look at my phone and respond.

Please know that I’ve read your messages and truly appreciated every single one. Your support has made a tough time that bit easier, and I won’t forget it.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart.

FIM World Long Track Champions

Team GB Crowned World Long Track Champions

Team Great Britain have been crowned World Long Track Champions after a dominant and determined performance in Germany. The meeting was re-started following heavy rain the previous evening, but the British riders returned with focus and fire to secure a memorable victory on the world stage.

The team was well supported by reserve rider Cameron Taylor, who was making his first appearance at world championship level. Just a day earlier, Taylor competed in the Under 23 World Long Track Championship, finishing a highly creditable 8th overall—the top British rider in the event. Remarkably, this was also his first meeting back since suffering an injury in the British Masters, making his contribution all the more impressive.

Team manager Mitch Godden expertly guided the squad to victory, as Team GB proudly claimed the title of World Long Track Champions—a major milestone for British racing.

RTS Racing would like to extend their congratulations to Team GB on this outstanding achievement, and to everyone involved in organising and running the event at Vechta. A true showcase of international racing at its best.

Long Track of Nations

RTS Racing Heads to Vechta for FIM Long Track Finals

This weekend, RTS Racing is heading to the continent for two of the most prestigious events on the international long track calendar – the FIM Long Track Under 23 World Cup and the 2025 Long Track of Nations, taking place on 12th and 13th September in Vechta, Germany.

These back-to-back events will bring together the top long track riders from across Europe, each representing their country in a thrilling display of speed, skill, and national pride. The Vechta circuit, renowned for its fast straights and technical corners, is expected to deliver an unforgettable weekend of racing and a serious challenge for even the most seasoned competitors.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Cameron Taylor, one of RTS Racing’s standout riders, will participate in the Under 23’s World Cup and has earned a reserve spot on the Team GB squad for the Long Track of Nations. Cameron’s selection is a testament to his hard work, consistency, and the resilience he’s shown in bouncing back from a recent injury.

Team GB will be managed by the experienced Mitch Godden, who brings invaluable leadership and insight to the squad. Joining Cameron in the 2025 lineup are long track stars Chris ‘Bomber’ Harris, Zach Wajtknecht, and Andrew Appleton—an incredibly strong team ready to challenge the traditional powerhouses of Germany, France, and the Netherlands.

The entire RTS Racing crew will be in Vechta to support Cameron and the rest of Team GB. If you can’t make it in person, don’t worry—you can catch all the action live at tapesup.tv.

We’re honoured to be part of Cameron’s journey and excited to see him take on the world under the Team GB banner.

From everyone at RTS Racing: good luck to Cameron, Chris, Zach, Andrew, and Mitch and all the riders taking part. Let’s go, Team GB!

RTS 438 on Track

Chaddesley Corbett

RTS Racing would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved at Chaddesley Corbett on Sunday. Despite the challenging track conditions due to the weather, it was a pleasure for Mark, Neil, and myself to be back behind the handlebars doing what we love.

As many of you will know, Neil unfortunately sustained a fractured knee and ligament damage during the event. We are hopeful he’ll make a full recovery and be back on track next year. We’re incredibly grateful for the support and assistance he received following the incident — it truly meant a lot to all of us.

Thank you once again to everyone who made the day possible.
