More Engine Rebuilds

More Engine Rebuilds

Here we have three more engine rebuilds, finished and ready to go into action.

Left: A fully rebuilt 1971 250cc BSA Gold Star road-going engine, carefully restored and rebuilt ready for the road.

Centre: A 500cc Jawa Long Track engine, built with a large-overlap camshaft and higher compression to deliver strong mid-to-top-end power where it matters on the track.

Right: A BSA B50 Flat Track engine, built with a heavy flywheel, special camshaft and gas-flowed head, designed to produce a very strong and controllable power delivery.

Three very different engines, each built with a specific purpose, all finished to the same high standard and ready for action.

New RTS Viper

New RTS Viper

Another brand-new RTS Viper, being built for Paul Clifton, and this one is being paired with a fully rebuilt 350cc Jawa motor.

The Viper chassis is designed specifically for track racing, and with the rebuilt Jawa powerplant going into it, should make a very competitive combination.

Another RTS machine taking shape in the workshop, and we’re looking forward to seeing Paul get it out on track and putting it through its paces.

Another RTS Viper. Another rider. Another machine ready for the racing season.

RTS Greyhound

RTS Greyhound

We’ve recently completed an RTS Greyhound belonging to Glynn Stanton.

This one is fitted with a 125cc engine for FGA and is already fully built and set up, with the possibility of hitting the track later in the year.

We’re looking forward to seeing Glynn get the Greyhound out on track and finding out how it performs when it gets some track time.

Another RTS Greyhound ready for action!

New Twin-Shock RTS Greyhound

New Twin-Shock RTS Greyhound

We’ve been busy throughout the summer months, and here’s another one ready to hit the track!

New Twin-Shock RTS Greyhound for Steve Garside, fitted with a fully rebuilt, water-cooled Yamaha engine.

The bike has been set up on the Dino, and everything is now ready for the coming season.

Another machine finished, prepared and race-ready.

Best of luck to Steve for the season ahead, we’re looking forward to seeing the Greyhound out on track.

BSA 500 Rebuild

Another outstanding BSA 500 rebuild completed and ready for competition.

This beautiful 500cc BSA has been extensively rebuilt and enlarged to 600cc, creating a powerful yet authentic classic competition engine. The specification includes a balanced crankshaft, reprofiled camshaft, gas-flowed cylinder head, and the original 3-speed gearbox, all carefully prepared to deliver strong, reliable performance.

The engine is now ready to power its machine at the legendary Red Marley Hill Climb. We wish the rider every success and look forward to seeing this classic BSA doing exactly what it was built to do.

BSA ZD Gold Star

A very special engine completed and ready to leave the workshop this week.

This classic BSA ZD Gold Star has been transformed from its original 350cc specification and expertly relined to 420cc. The build also features reprofiled camshafts and a gas-flowed cylinder head, giving it significantly improved breathing and performance while retaining the character of this iconic British single.

The engine is destined for a new-build flat tracker, where its combination of classic engineering and modern performance enhancements should make for a truly impressive machine.

We’re looking forward to seeing the finished bike once it’s built.

Congratulations to our own Cameron Taylor on a fantastic second-place finish in the 350cc British Grasstrack Championships at the weekend.

Cameron produced a determined and mature performance throughout the meeting, showing both speed and consistency against a highly competitive field. After a difficult start in the final, he kept his composure and rode superbly, carving his way through the pack to secure a well-deserved podium finish and the title of British Championship runner-up.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the host club for organising and delivering a fantastic meeting. Events like these rely on the hard work and commitment of countless volunteers and officials, and their efforts are greatly appreciated.

Finally, congratulations to all the riders, teams, officials and support staff who played their part in making the championship such a memorable occasion. The standard of racing throughout the day was exceptional, and it was a great showcase for British grasstrack sport.

Well done, Cameron – a brilliant achievement, and one that everyone associated with R.T.S. Racing is immensely proud of.

Bielefeld European Challenge.

Congratulations to James Shanes on his outstanding victory at the Bielefeld European Challenge. The result provides a real boost of confidence heading into one of the biggest events of the season, the 350 British Championships this weekend. Cameron has worked tirelessly to reach this point, and this victory is a fitting reward for the commitment and effort he has put in throughout the year.

The weekend’s results highlight the strength and depth of talent within the RTS family. Seeing riders achieve success at both national and international level is something everyone associated with RTS can take great pride in. These performances are the result of countless hours of preparation, support from families and sponsors, and the dedication shown by riders both on and off the track.

As attention now turns to the upcoming British Championships and the remainder of the racing season, RTS would like to extend its best wishes to all riders, teams, mechanics, officials, and supporters. We hope everyone enjoys a safe, competitive, and successful championship weekend and continues to achieve their goals throughout the rest of the season.
