Camshaft Reprofiling

Camshaft reprofiling refers to increasing lift/duration on an camshaft by adding material to the lobes and grinding it to the desired shape. This is an easy process with the right tools, but without the right tools, near impossible.

R.T.S Racing Products have therefore made an investment in the latest Cam Grinding machinery so that we can provide our customers with this service.

During this process, we add a stellite material to the camshaft. After building up material, we then grind it down so it meets proper specifications. The stellite material used to build up a camshaft, is much harder than the original camshaft material.

This ensures that we are able to remanufacture and reprofile camshafts to a significantly higher specification, and with greater durability.
